Wow! I can’t believe it. Fifth grade is over!!!! Time seems to pass like the speed of light. I feel like I created so many memories this year. There are so many things for which I am grateful for. From nailing my grades, to creating new friendships. Allow me to walk you through all of the happy, sad, exciting, and amazing moments I had during my fifth-grade journey.
September
· Excited to get back to school. I am officially in Upper School!
· Happy to see my friends and to be back to school in person.
· Missed mom when she went to visit Grandma’s home country.
· Remembering and missing Emmaye.
October
· Everlasting friendship formed with Lena & Abby.
· For Halloween I dressed like Celia, the character from Descendants 3.
· Class field trip to the amazing Planet Word. It was our only filed trip of the year. ☹
· Trip to Chicago.
November
· Got my first COVID shot. Ouch!
December
· HTS Christmas concert officially back. I was over the moon!
· My birthday celebration at Top Golf. My first-time hitting golf balls!
· Auntie Teti's visit from Asmara. Yay!
· Our own Christmas show at home, Piano performance by Zak, Milu, Minu, & Uncle Mikael
February
· Bowling time! Playdates with my BFF’s.
March
· Spring break vacation cancelled - caught COVID from Ms. Hills. ☹
· Road trip to Myrtle Beach.
· Special lunch-bunch date with Ms. Hills and the COVID “crew.”
April
· My brother and I tricking each other all day for April Fool’s Day.
May
· Father-Daughter Dance.
· HTS Library sleepover which was also my first sleepover ever!
· Movie night under the stars at HTS playground.
· Best Field Day ever. Team Blue Rules! (even though we lost)
June
· Got a new bed, Queen Size!
· Received Teacher Awards - English, Math, and ART!
· Finished the year with “A’s” in all subjects.
I can’t believe I am going to sixth grade in a couple of months, but for now, I tend to enjoy my summer adventure!!!
