Under Cover

I like going through Pinterest where I get most of my inspiration. Its funny. I am not even a hat girl but I found myself drawn to this particular picture, so I decided to sketch it.

When I look at this sketch I see a lonely girl who doesn't like to stand out. She wants to be invisible and unnoticeable from the world. She covers all her fear and sadness with her big hat. But that is all about to change when a talent show is coming up. Even though she doesn't want to, she has to participate in it. This makes her super nervous! She has never told anyone this before but her true passion is to sing, even though she never actually performed for a live audience. She kept thinking about all the bad things that could happen, but then she realized she should do the exact opposite and only focus on the positives!

She started imagining getting on the stage. She pictured herself wearing the most sparkly dress. The stage light shining on her. She can see herself holding the golden mic and singing her heart out. She felt the joy and happiness. Everyone clapping and cheering for her. And just like that... she won the talent show!

Once she got back home she went straight to her room and looked at herself in the mirror. She then spoke to herself. She said, "Maybe not being invisible could be a good thing. Give yourself permission and stop hiding."
